Barium sulfate is widely used as a constitutional pigment in coatings, playing an important role in improving the thickness, wear resistance, water resistance, heat resistance, surface hardness, impact resistance, and other properties of the coating film. In addition, barium sulfate has high reflectivity in the wavelength range of 300-400nm, which can protect the paint film from photo aging and is an effective and inexpensive white inorganic light stabilizer. The ultrafine barium sulfate made by special processes has many characteristics that other similar products do not possess. Its structure makes it a good leveling agent and can enhance the leveling of coatings. It can be used as a reinforcing agent in self-cleaning coatings; Due to its low oil absorption and high filling capacity, it can reduce the cost of coatings. Replacing 10% -25% of titanium dioxide in water-based coatings with it resulted in improved whiteness and no decrease in coverage.
The product has high whiteness and uniform particle size distribution. It is used for tire rubber, insulating rubber, rubber plate, adhesive tape, engineering plastics, etc. It is not only a filler but also a reinforcement. It can enhance the anti-aging performance, weather resistance, acid and alkaline resistance of the product, and can significantly improve the surface finish and reduce the production cost.
